Day 1: Cairo to Bahariya Oasis – Unveiling the Black Desert
This unforgettable trip will take you first to Bahariya oasis in the western desert and then out into the surrounding desert to see the unique regions known at the Black and White Deserts in a unique adventure experience.
The Black Desert is formed by the erosion of the mountains, which have spread a layer of black powder and stones over the peaks and plateaus, it looks like a landscape straight out of Hades. The Black Desert is a popular stop-off for tours running out of Bahariya Oasis.
Itinerary:
- 7:00 AM: Your journey begins as we depart from Cairo, embarking on a 4-hour scenic drive to Bahariya Oasis.
- Midday: Arrive at Bahariya Oasis, where a delicious lunch awaits. Afterward, switch to a rugged 4×4 vehicle to explore the wonders of the Western Desert.

Day 2: Exploring the White Desert and Djara Cave
The White Desert is located at the northern region of the Farafra Oasis. It is steadily growing as a main touristic attraction that draws several visitors to Egypt who wish to experience another enriching sight.
The white desert has been classified by Egypt as a natural protectorate in 2002 and covers an area of 3010 square kilometers.
Djara’s formations date back 55 million years. Scientists believe they were created by rain dissolving Eocene limestone to form stalactites and stalagmites. Accentuating its richness, the cave enjoys some huge formations at its center that were as tall as 6 meters high and 1.5 meters wide.

- Morning: After a campfire breakfast, visit the enigmatic Holed Mountain before taking a leisurely walk to Magic Spring (Ain Al-Saru). This hidden gem features a refreshing water spring shaded by palm trees and three inviting swimming pools.

Day 3: Journey to Dakhla Oasis – A Step Back in Time
Dakhla oasis can be described by just one word “diversity”. This applies to both the monuments – Roman and Egyptian – and the inhabitants who live in it: Nubians, Libyans, Berbers and Bedouins.
The oasis is the most densely populated in the Western Desert (40 people / km2). The main occupation of the local population is the cultivation and export of fruit. They also cultivate local craft traditions: weaving baskets and making pottery, jewelry and wooden items.

- Morning: After breakfast, continue your desert adventure with a 4-hour drive to the tranquil Dakhla Oasis.
- Midday: Upon arrival, explore the Roman Stone Monastery, a well-preserved relic of ancient times, and the fascinating Muzawqa Cemetery, known for its intricately painted tombs.
- Afternoon: Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the ancient Islamic city of Al-Qasr, a historic gem with winding streets and centuries-old architecture.

Day 4: Discovering Kharga Oasis – Ancient Temples and Mysterious Ruins
The Kharga Oasis is located away from the busy Nile Valley, depression and its vast surrounding desert area consist of a variegated natural environment punctuated by archaeological remains of various periods that allow us to reconstruct the history and evolution of civilisation both at a regional and at a trans-national scale: acting as a crossroad for long-running caravan routes, Kharga played an important role in the historical evolution of Western and Central Africa.
Its distinctive geological features represent the natural habitat of a variety of desert flora and fauna.

- Morning: After breakfast, embark on a 3-hour journey to Kharga Oasis, known for its rich history and stunning desert landscapes.
- Midday: Start your exploration with a visit to the Hibi’s Temple, an ancient Egyptian temple adorned with intricate carvings.
- Next, discover the fascinating Al-Bajwat Churches, a collection of over 300 early Christian churches clustered in one remarkable site.
